Tasted blind at the Valandraud vertical at the property, the 2005 Valandraud is a blend of 75% Merlot and 25% Cabernet Franc aged in new oak for 22 months. It has a very precise bouquet with fine delineation: copious blackberry, raspberry and crisp strawberry fruit, impressive mineralité with subtle marine scents lapping against the shore. The palate is very composed on the entry. It has an almost Burgundy-like texture. This is very refined and cohesive, silky smooth with a powerful and intense bravura of a finish. Perhaps the most sophisticated wine that Jean-Luc Thunévin had made at that point, it comes highly recommended and is just beginning to drink now. Tasted December 2016.

敷地内のヴァランドロー垂直でブラインドでテイスティングされた2005ヴァランドローは、メルロー75％とカベルネ・フラン25％のブレンドで、新樽で22ヶ月熟成されています。豊かなブラックベリー、ラズベリー、さわやかなイチゴの果実、海岸に打ち寄せる繊細な海の香りを伴う印象的なミネラリテなど、繊細な輪郭を持つ非常に正確なブーケを持っています。入り口の口は非常に落ち着いています。ブルゴーニュに近い質感です。非常に洗練され、まとまりがあり、シルクのように滑らかで、力強く強烈な勇壮な余韻を持っています。おそらく、その時点でジャン・リュック・テュネヴァンが造った最も洗練されたワインであり、強く推奨されており、今飲み始めたところです。2016年12月にテイスティングしました。（直訳）
