　Harvested at 13.7% natural potential alcohol, the 2003 Clos Vougeot
　(250 cases from 1.25 hectares)finished its alcoholic fermentation
　in new oak barrels. Its intense aromatics are reminiscent of
　blackberries, black cherries, spices, and chocolate. A bold,
　medium to full-bodied wine, it is powerful, velvety textured,
　dense, and exceptionally long. Some alcoholic warmth, detectable
　in its hugely impressive finish, prevented a more exalted review.

　There are two and a half barrels of the 2003 Echezeaux while
　normal years produce twice that quantity. Aged entirely in new
　oak, it reveals a nose of fresh black cherries, flowers, and
　spices. Medium to full bodied and stain-textured in the attack
　as well as mid-palate, this dark fruit-filled effort displays
　a ripe tannin-packed lengthy finish.

　75 cases of wine in 2003. Amedium to full-bodied wine, it

　outstanding depth, ripeness, and length.

　Tar and blackberries are found in the aromatic profile of the
　2003 Musigny. A chewy medium-bodied wine, it exhibits outstanding

　with ripe tannin, and expressive.
