　キャンティの代表的葡萄園であるとともに、進取の精神に富んだ
　葡萄園で単一畑のキャンティを造ったり、メルロー100%のワイン
　(今や有名なラッパリータ)を最初に造っている。

『あるブラインド・テイスティングでシャトー・ペトリュス1988年
　を抜いたメルローがあったのをご存知だろうか。カステッロ・ディ
　アマのラッパリータ1987年である。このエピソードは長いことスー
　パー・トスカーナの誇りとして語られ続けたし、その後追いする
　生産者も現れた。しかし、新しいことを発想できる人は常にその
　先を走り続ける。その後もアマはキャンティのあり方に新しいイン
　スピレーションを与えている。』

　black olive and forest floor. Medium+ level of very finely grained
　tannins and medium to high acidity. Good concentration, very

　The 100% Merlot 1999 L'Apparita, rather surprisingly, is not
　one of the better vintages for the estate, despite the clear
　quality of the Sangiovese in 1999. The aromas are ripe, but
　not particularly complex, the flavors supple but without the
　explosive power of vintages such as 1992 and 1998.
